Rita Charbonnier specially wrote a short story in a matchbox for MatchBoox. Especially recommended as a comforting message to lovers and former lovers. Ups and downs of a tumultuous love affair. Rita Charbonnier (1966) is born and lives in Rome, Italy. Before dedicating herself to writing she was a musical theater actress. Charbonnier went to drama school in Sicily and also followed some courses in New York, where she took part in a musical at NYU. "Mozart's Sister" is her first novel. It was published first in Italian and then translated into English, French, German, Spanish, and Dutch.


Marion Bloem (1952) is a Dutch writer, artist and filmmaker. Charbonnier and Bloem are not only colleagues but also good friends. They both wanted to do a project together, and this resulted in making a MatchBoox. The part of Marion Bloem, who regularly exhibits and usually makes her own bookcovers, are the illustrations.
