Rita Charbonnier (1966) is born and lives in Rome, Italy. Before dedicating herself to writing she was a musical theater actress. Charbonnier went to drama school in Sicily and also followed some courses in New York, where she took part in a musical at NYU. "Mozart's Sister" is her first novel. It was published first in Italian and then translated into English, French, German, Spanish, and Dutch.
